cardio workouts to lose belly fat
What is a Good Cardio Workout to Burn Belly Fat and make My Abs Show?
I’ve been doing the 8 min workouts for about a month and I am already pretty buff but my abs aren’t as defined as I would like them to be because of some belly fat. What is a good cardio workout to lose belly fat besides running?
There’s two parts to this (as there is to just about any fat loss):
- diet
- exercise
You can’t “target” weight loss to a specific area of your body. When you diet and exercise, you are training your entire body.
Here’s the diet side: The goal is to burn more calories than you take in during the day. But it goes beyond just burning calories. You must take in the proper amounts of foods (which includes some “good fats”). If you already have a healthy diet then you may want to try eating less food per sitting and eating more times per day. This should help your metabolism speed up, thus burning more calories.
Now the exercise side: As I mentioned, you can’t target a section of your body to lose fat. If you wanted to build muscle, you would then target those areas. Since that’s not your goal, just keep up with a moderate amount of cardio (treadmill, running, biking, etc.). Don’t get your heart rate too high, you’ll move out of the “fat burning zone” into the “cardio building zone”. Make sure you do this at least 3 to 5 times per week for an hour each.
You should start to see the fat drop and your belly will get flatter. Good luck.
I found this great website that helped me out. It’s got some great resources for helping you to get a flat stomach. Go to http://www.get-truth-about-abs.com.
