is cardio the best way to lose weight?

I have tried walking, kick boxing and weight training
what would be the best way to lose it quickly. with the things I’ve tried I’ve lost 10 lbs but can’t seem to lose any more…
I’m getting discouraged.

Congrats on the 10 lbs!! Here’s some of my tips:

Make a list of everything you’re eating – include calories, portion sizes, etc. Cut down on portion sizes or make some substitutions for lower calorie ingredients or selections. A neat little trick is to eat on smaller plates. (I know it sounds ridiculous, but a smaller plate means a smaller portion)

Eat things with more fiber in them. Drink lots of water.

Get your exercise doing things you have fun doing – whatever that might be. When you have fun, you’ll stay with it longer and the pounds will seem like they just melt right off.

Lastly, don’t get discouraged. We all go thru those plateaus. When you don’t see the number on the scale change, notice other things – your clothes fit better, compliments you’re getting, better heath, various lifestyle changes that you’ve made, etc.

Also, here’s a great motivator – when you’re in the supermarket, pick up a 10 lb bag of sugar or potatoes or something. That weight was on you not too long ago. It gives you the thoughts “look at what I’ve lost” and “this is what I can do if I stick with it”. Do that every oncle in a while when you feel stuck and nothing is working.
